This is an excellent resource for kids and teens learning to play guitar. It's straightforward and well-paced in terms of difficulty and, best of all, teaches practical aspects of music theory that are essential for success. I was also glad to see how much time was devoted to technical issues (what you need to know about acoustics to record properly, information about how amps and guitars work, etc.). By the time you finish, you'll have a strong musical foundation and feel confident going forward as you master this incredible instrument. (I'd also recommend checking out Berklee, Hal Leonard, or Mel Bay Guitar Method books after this one, since each offers many more challenging exercises and a more intense dive into music theory).
