Add a CommentReads a little like a research paper. Also, the author is very obviously not involved in funeral service. Some terms used are not quite accurate or some ideas are a little misconstrued. It's a little dated, but still informative in ways. I definitely learned some things reading this.
We will all die sooner or later, but what happens to our bodies once we are dead varies greatly from place to place. Colman looks at practices in different places and at different times, framing it with an account of her uncle Willi’s death and the choices her family made.
