A lovely wordless picture book that is full of feeling.
The 2018 Caldecott Medal winner -- for the most distinguished American picture book for children. Wordless story - beautiful and suspenseful!
It's not every wordless picture book that's gorgeously crafted enough to get me a little weepy, but this story of a lost girl and a wolf cub managed to do just that! Beautiful through and through.
This nearly wordless picture book is certainly a page turner! When I started this story, I wasn't sure how much I was going to buy into it because it didn't seem very realistic. But as I turned the page, I was so invested in the little girls' story. The close up illustrations are truly stunning, and the abstractness of the rest of the pages tell a heartwarming story.
The pictures tell the story , heartwarming tale of a little girl and a wolf cub both lost in a snowstorm . Interesting how the Author portrayed that humans and animals are so much alike and animals caring nature . Recommend this book .
Excellent visual storytelling. Only words in the book are sounds. Heartwarming tale.
This is a picture book that will tug at your heart and remind you that animals and people are more alike than they may seem.
In this almost wordless picture book, the main character is rescued by wolves after saving a wolf pup earlier in the story. The amazing pen, ink and watercolor paintings capture the characters emotions and story's setting so well! I could feel the cold, fear, helplessness and calm happiness throughout the story.
