Fairly light and non-consequential - good if you are looking for a quick read that doesn't require much thinking. Predictable.

The Blossom Street books are some of my favourites from Debbie Macomber. I like the characters who inhabit this street and how their lives intertwine. No matter what challenges any of them face, the reader knows the ending will be on the happier side of life, and sometimes that is exactly what I need.

Three friends gather frequently at a knitting store, 'The Good Yarn,' and make for a very good yarn. They are the three strands around whom the yarn revolves - they, their partners, and their children. I had a bit of trouble keeping the characters straight but once I did it was gripping. Macomber's characters are very human which makes for a poignant story. A good read which turns into a page-turner.

Another great MaComber read! I have read every one of Debbie's books and each one is better than the last. Can't wait for the next book!
