Pokémon Adventures vol.2 is the second installment in the Red, Blue, and Green saga. It was published in 2009.
The book starts with the protagonist, Red, in the middle of nowhere. He previously earned two trainer badges, caught many Pokémon, and added Pikachu and Snorlax to his main party. Red is spotted by trainer, thief and con artist, Green, just as Red managed to evolve his Bulbasaur into Ivysaur. She tricks Red into buying battle items that she said would make his Pokémon stronger in battle, but of course it was scam in which Red spent 6000 pokédollars. Red later enters Celadon city, where Professor Oak tells Red that his Squirtle was stolen. Red eventually finds Green and chases/ battles her in hopes of getting a refund. He eventually manages to knock her out and take his money back, only to later realise that Green stole his badges in the midst of the battle.
Red later spots members of the evil organization known as Team Rocket. He disguises himself as one of their grunts and sneaks in, he learns that they plan on capturing the phantom Pokémon that beat him, Mew, and using to create some sort of Genetic Pokémon. He also learns that Green stole a disk that contained valuable information on Mew from Team Rocket, and now they’re after her.
They later encounter Green, who battles with Team Rocket and accidentally blows Red’s cover. Green uses her Ditto to defeat Team Rocket, and she managed to escape while giving Team Rocket a counterfeit disk. Will Green and Red be able to work together and protect Mew, or will Rocket their awful, corrupt experiment?
