Barney and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks, who years ago co-founded the team with Barney. Stonebanks became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill, or so he thought. Stonebanks now is making it his mission to end the team, but Barney has other plans. The movie tried to be a bit more comedic, hitting some, missing some. There were plenty of missed opportunities for great jokes. Overall, the story doesn't make that much sense. The script really needed a lot more work. The movie was good action wise, poor story wise, and average to poor comedic ... Read More »

Conrad Stonebanks was the founder of The Expendables, alongside Barney. However, Barney had to kill Conrad, but it turns out he didn’t die. Now, The Expendables are up against him as he wants to wipe out each and every one of the members, including Barney. However, Barney decides to recruit younger and fresher members to join the Expendables, and plans to go up against Stonebanks with the new members. With the new, more advanced members of The Expendables up against Stonebanks, it becomes a battle of old vs. new. I may be biased since I’m new to The Expendable series, as older viewers may dislike that the cast is new, but I think this was a good movie and the fast paced action was great.

I recommend this movie trilogy to adults. The Expendables are the main characters. There is non-stop violence. This movie is not good for children. For adults, it will be fast moving with lots of action. The script is the informal military group that goes in for US CIA/FBI when they can't send it the regular military. In the script the characters are shallow. The story is weak. If you like things blowing up, lots of gunfire, martial arts battles you will love this movie.

I can not believe that a movie can gather so many famous actors and yet be so bad.
It's a waste of time.

Junk. With so many stars in this movie you would think they could have produced something watchable. If Marvel or DC would have made it, then it would fit the script, or give these folks capes and spandex, but as it is: absurdity x3

Can't believe I'm saying this...: this one was best of the three. Antonio stole the show every scene he was in. Both stars go to him.

The script really needed a lot more work. The movie was good action wise, poor story wise, and average to poor comedic wise. Stallone needs to spend less on the all-star cast and pay someone to edit this poor excuse of a script.

The movie was predictable and the whole “old vs. young” storyline has been done too many times. Would I watch a fourth installment of this franchise? Probably.

Large number of quotes in IMDb:
Mars: [regarding the old Expendables] Bunch of has-beens still trying to be hard.
Lee Christmas: You're young and you're dumb!
===
Conrad Stonebanks: Sure, you got a conscience that makes you weak. Success, real success, is being willing to do the things that other people are not.
Barney Ross: Not everyone is as sick as you.
