Who would've thought that you can ground Thor by making his mythos galactic? (It also didn't hurt to have Esad Ribic as the illustrator.)

I am not normally into reading about Thor - just too powerful to be interesting BUT this adversary really puts him to a challenge. Amazing storyline and graphics - a definite read for everyone!

Whoa! Thor's deadly adversary, Gorr, is well-named as this compilation doesn't shy away from some pretty gruesome imagery or death and dismemberments! I feel it's justified, though, as for once it feels like the epically superpowered Thor has an enemy capable of causing him, and his godly ilk, some serious grief. Definitely one of the best new takes on the Thor title I've come across in a while, thumbs up!

I am so not a Thor person, but if you're gonna read any Thor book, it should be this one. Aaron has got such a handle on who Thor is (and the differences between young drinking-with-Vikings Thor and older Thor), and those Ribic pages?? This book is gorgeous. Honestly, feels a little unfair that you can just casually get this beautiful hardcover from the library. You should def take advantage of that.

Not only one of the best Thor stories ever, but one of the best superhero comics I have read in a long time
