The series is a bit dated, but very informative concerning the sad, lonely lives of the Bronte family. Recommend if you are a devotee of the wonderful books created by the sisters. Kristi & Abby Tabby
While dated, this is a moving story of the very difficult and isolated lives of the talented Brontes, Bramwell, Emily, Charlotte and Anne.
Mercy, if you need to fall asleep put this DVD in.
I enjoyed this DVD very much! Good for all ages. Not too violent. No sex scenes. Well acted! Strong story!
Slow and disappointing. Not what I expected. Stop it half way.
Way too tedious for words....I couldn't bear to even get through the second episode. From this la-tee-dah opus it becomes clear that the girls must have created their ravishingly purple fiction because they were just so BORED they just had to write their way out of it. And how Michael Kitchen survived his portrayal of Branwell is quite beyond me. The fact that his subsequent career is built upon understatement simply has to be a result of embarrassment. And to THINK that I missed an additional 3 and a half hours of this. PHEW!
What sad lives these people lived!
