If you read the series "Skeleton Creek" and you liked it you would probably have a chance of liking this book because it is by the same author Patrick Carman
One of Carman's darker books, in my opinion. Otherwise it is a good read.
Beautiful, mysterious, and so thrilling
Life is about to change for Will Besting! After being told by his psychologist that she is unable to help him conquer his fear, Will has been sent for a week’s stay at Fort Eden, an isolated and mysterious institution where master psychologist Rainsford claims he can cure Will and six other teens of their crippling phobias. Sensing something is not quite right at Fort Eden, Will ducks away from the rest of his group and hides out in one of the many chambers in Eden’s basement. While on the run, Will discovers a room filled with monitors and learns that he can watch the other teens being ‘cured’ by the mysterious Rainsford. This is an action-packed thriller of a book with a sequel coming out soon!

Seven fifteen-year-old boys and girls face individual fears that their therapist can’t help them overcome unless they spend a week at camp. Will Besting, one of the seven, fears being with people and does not go into Fort Eden with the others. As he observes from outside he realizes that although cures seem to happen, things are not right. If you enjoy the eerie and unusual, this is a book you should read. Reviewed by BPL volunteer EE.
This had so much potential and started out really good, but it could have been so much better. I expected more. When it finally came to the big reveal, I'm reading and wondering, 'Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?'
