The world of fairytales has been invaded, and the denizens are forced to flee into our world, disguising themselves among the people of New York City and just trying to get by. Watchers of the show Once Upon A Time will gobble this one up.

Fables is one of greatest ideas that any writer came up. It's just a pain that Jack and Red slowed the story by being the usual misfits. I'm reading this for the first time and I can already tell Jack and Red will get into more trouble in the future because the writer tried a little to hard at making them the misfits of the story. But It gets interesting later on at the farm. The idea of certain Fables being forced to live on a farm because they don't have a human appearance is a great idea, and the idea of some fables being immortal because they are more popular is also a great idea. It's just that I was expecting something different because of the presentation on the cover of the book. The artwork on every chapter implied there's going to be some type of epic battle, but I got something different. I still enjoyed some of It, but I think It could of been better.
