I think the original by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud would have been a lot better even if it was all in french. Disney does what they do and took something that was suppose to show humans how great the world is and at the same time what we are doing and they turned it into a family story with no real talk about the issues we cause. The complete ignore the point of the movie to inform through the script what humans are doing to the oceans and it is obvious because Pierce Brosnan does not make since with the film. Watch Seasons instead or Plastic Ocean.

As wonderfully colorful and fascinating and beautiful that the overall imagery was for Oceans -This impressively well-produced Disney production, narrated by actor Pierce Brosnan, didn't come anywhere near to putting enough emphasis on the devastating effects that man's continued pollution is having on all of the lakes, rivers and oceans of this world._____ North. South. East. West. This non-stop poisoning of this planet is literally causing irreversible, worldwide damage to the Earth's entire eco-system._____ And with that in mind - The obvious truth is - We, humans, really are doomed (and so are all of the wonderful creatures featured in this DVD) if we (not them) don't make a major shift in how we treat the environment before it really is too late (which is clearly just around the corner).______ Let's face the facts straight on, folks!

This is a GREAT documentary of life in the ocean. It's beautiful to watch and educational at the same time.

Very well done. The narrator's voice suits the pictures and music. Also nice to see new footage of the oceans, instead of having people rip off the Planet Earth footage.
