Summer Girls by Hailey Abbott

Summer Girls is a spin off series from Summer Boys. 3 cousins, are on their summer vacation at Pebble Beach the family beach house. Jessica is an athletic girl who has a crush on Liam an older boy who is mean and doesn’t see her in that way. Jessica really wants to enjoy and make the most of her summer. Greer is spoiled and doesn’t want to spend her summer at the beach house, she would much rather be somewhere more exotic. She has her eye set on Grady her sailing instructor. Lara is their step cousin and accidentally falls for the one boy that is totally of limits. In the book the girls all face obstacles like romance, friendship, work and being honest. The plot of this book is about summer romance and friendships.
This book is kind of stereo typical. The girls in the book are really distinguished. The plot is very generic but still enjoyable. It is however very obvious what is going to happen in the book. Summer romance, friends fighting, memories being made and of course- drama. The moral of the story is that people make mistakes and you will get over it because family is forever. There are also many current refences to current celebrities and bands. The readers of this book will enjoy reading about the conquests of the girls and what their life is like juggling summer fun and relationships.
In my opinion I thought that it was a decent book. It’s nice and fun, it also makes a quick summer read if your going to the beach. This book has alternating chapters between each of the girls which I also really liked.
