I have fallen n love with this series--charming stories from a simpler time, but there are still real and gritty problems in that era. I love how the different books intertwine in subtle ways. You don't need to read them all or in any order, but it's fun if you read more than one to see familiar names and places.

I read this for class. It was an interesting look into the depression era. It tells the story of a family in the childs perspective.

our book club chose this at our Dec. mtg and loved it so much we kept going with Gardenias. Highly recommend all her books
