I haven't read any Elizabeth Peters for a long while. She was good and I enjoyed getting re-acquainted with Amelia Peabody and her family amid all the shenanigans back in the day of long skirts and pith helmets in all the sand and heat.

The Emerson family are on their annual archeological dig in Egypt. Criminal elements, stolen and forged documents, murder, romance and politics in the Egypt of 1911 make this, the latest in the series, one of the most exciting and melodramatic.

This is my favorite in the series! This is the 11th book in the series.

The Amelia Peabody books are always great. But she does write others that don't meet my standards.
