this is an awsome book, always left me wanting to know more. The ending was interesting as he had become what his parents wanted but for a completly different reason that was expected. I hope that one day we can find out if mark ever went back to Transall with the people he goes hiking with

1: I think this was an amazing book. I loved the senario and the whole idea. I also REALLY loved the ending . This is my absolutely most favorite book EVER!

WARNING: DON'T READ THE NEXT PART IN THIS COMMENT IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2: I've also noticed that the light doesn't strike out randomnly. It seems to go to people that are in danger. Example: When Mark was bitten by the snake, the blue light apeared. Also, when he was (probably) going to be killed by the search party, the light saved him again. This is my favorite book. I've read it two times and want to read it more!!! :-) :-D Gary Paulsen is a great author! I hope to read more of his books soon!! :-) :-D
