This is a beautiful Christmas story about discovering the wonder of Christmas and about sharing the gift of our company and love. The author uses simple yet poetic language to convey her story and bring the setting alive. I especially appreciated the subtle message that Amos the Bear gave Sadie a gift just by visiting her and that not all gifts are something we buy. My pre-school aged twins loved the story, but I think momma loved it even more!
