Yes, "Battle of the Bismarck Sea" by Lex McAulay is a summary of one of the lesser-known WW2 sea and air battles in the southwestern area of the Pacific Ocean. I found that while it does present the dates and sets up the background of the conflicts, it falls short on narrative. There are eyewitness accounts from both the Japanese and Allied participants, but they seem to be airbrushed in without revealing much about any thoughts, feelings or fears they might have had. As an example of good writing about WW2 Pacific sea battles, I cite Craig Symonds for good presentation that effectively engages the reader (see Symonds's "The Battle of Midway").
