This book has its moments, and definitely hits the horror note. However there are times when it's a complete mess. If you ignore those moments, it's a good read. Reggie is a great character, and so is Aaron, you really get to know them through the course of this adventure.

This novel I finished in one day, considering that it was great and a unique novel that you won't find another one similar to it. It was different than all the other horror novels I read (the vampire ones, books by R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike), and it kept me caring about the character's fate and hoping the story plays out well. The interesting name of the main character was also unique (Reggie, short for Regina). The fact that there was death and blood and gore kept me reading as well, and the threatening of the Vours and all the things Reggie had to go through to figure out how to stop them. I could also sort of relate to Reggie, protecting her brother and being a horror junkie and into books. It's defenetly worth a read and to read the sequel as well.
